We didn't get a drop of rain from this system. The rain band got to within a couple of miles of Bass Lake and then promptly disintegrated.
Long range forecasts show nothing in the way of storm activity for this area through the rest of the month, so this will likely be my last entry until December.
Lets all hope that Ken Clark is right with his El Nino forecast, and December more than makes up for the dismal rainfall totals we received in November.
Happy Thanksgiving and unless we get a surprise weather event, we will see you next month! _______________________________________ WeatherGoose - Station D2149 BassLake-Weather.com

The bulk of the rain/snow is expected to reach the Bass Lake area late this afternoon. The latest NOAA water vapor sat image shows that the bulk of the moisture from this system is well to the north of th...

As the predicted arrival of storm #2 nears, we are starting to hear rumblings on the NWS discussion site that it may be weakening due to yet ANOTHER high pressure bubble interfering with it! :o(This of course raises that question about El Nino and how we can possibly be expected to see above average rainfall this winter.Ken Clark over at Accuweather posted an update on his blog about this very issue yesterday. Check it out!We will of course post more information o...

Doesn't look like we are going to get much of anything from this first storm system. We currently have some broken clouds, but radar images show nothing in the way of precipitation.More if conditions change._______________________________________WeatherGoose - Station D2149BassLake-Weather.com

This week's link of the week is a web site that I go to all the time to view various satellite images coming in from dozens of weather satellites. This site's primary purpose is to provide the public with access to sat images in times of tropical storms and hurricanes, but it makes a great resource for just everyday sat image viewing as well. There are a multitude of image types on there ranging from Visible and Infared, to specialized filters for viewing specific cl...
